SAM I AM

     The daughter of acclaimed jazz musician Jeremy Green, Sam Green was born in Canada to a family of musicians, writers and visual artists. She began to study piano at age four, but found a lifelong passion at age seven when she first picked up a guitar. Classically trained but raised on a healthy diet of Ozzy Osbourne, Iron Maiden, Children of Bodom and Forteresse, she has been performing live for almost 20 years as an artist in the classical, blues, rock and extreme metal genres.

     Always seeking out high-impact, sensory-thrilling beats and thumping bass, she launched her performing career as a DJ in Toronto in 2024. Stylistically she ranges from the warm and bouncy tech house (akin to that found in terraces the likes of her favourite place, Club Space Miami), to the darker and more visceral stylings of techno and hard dance that come to life at witching hour in nondescript industrial basements.

     Her goal is simple: to counterbalance the stress, the apathy, the absurdity and the powerlessness of modern life with the tonic of immersive and heavy music;  to reignite the art of cutting loose.
